January 2019

Happy New Year...

The month of January in the Cher Valley has been mostly cold and damp (with an occasional snow flurry!), but we have had some nice sunny, crisp days:

The site is dormant at this time of year

They are still working on the bridge - the major rebuild should start on Jan 29!
We have been looking for new, interesting places around the area.  We were lucky to visit Le Louroux (about 40 mins drive away) on a cold and sunny day.  It has a large reservoir with many varieties of birds (and a hide) and a 5 km nature trail.  The small village has a 15th Century Priory undergoing restoration and an interesting signed walking route.

Jean-Louis has been keeping himself busy by trimming the Pampas Grasses and walking the cat!

There hasn't been much rain this winter, the mill race is practically dry.

Bookings for the 2019 season are understandably slow, a lot of uncertainty at the moment.  Needless to say we have a lot of pitches available when you do decide to book!  We will be taking deposits in April.

We are looking for staff for the upcoming season, if you are interested please get in touch on the usual email.
