December news

Autumn hasn't yet turned into Winter, with mild tempertures and soggy, misty days throughout November and early December - maybe we'll get some snow for Christmas...

The biggest news - other than protests and Brexit - is the work on the bridge between Francueil and Chisseaux.. It seems to be progressing well:

The road surface was sawn into blocks

Each block was lifted away and crushed

Eventually it was all removed, now to make it ready for the new pre-formed surface..

They found the holes dug into the structure to accept dynamite in the case of advancing troops!
The bridge was built during the 50s....
Jean-Louis continues to 'acquire' new exhibits for the Camera Museum.  His latest is a set of home-made Amateur Radio Equipment from the 50s and 60s.  If there are any 'Radio Hams' able to show him how it works....

We have been out and about researching new walking routes for Friday mornings:

Good weather for fungi!
John was invited to the National launch of the New Range Rover Evoque in Tours.
