Over 100 people responded to our recent survey so many
thanks if that includes you!
It helped us make some decisions based on reason .. rather
than emotion!
Over 80% of respondents were Brits aged 50-79 … which does
reflect our usual client base, and does of course have a significant impact on
the answers given.
Indeed, the most likely reason given for not travelling to
France this year was quarantine and travel restrictions, which, as we write,
are still in place although subject to considerable debate
Very few respondents indicated a desire to travel to France
in June (worried about coronavirus) or in October (family and other
commitments)
Our bookings for the season are 74% down on this time last
year.
It is therefore a very difficult time for us economically.
We are currently planning to open on 26th June
with limited facilities: online booking, payment possible via our website,
limited opening hours of reception, wash blocks open and regularly cleaned.
Customers will be asked to maintain social distancing, for
their safety as well as that of our staff and other campers. Masks should
be worn as appropriate. We will provide additional cleaning materials in the
wash blocks for campers to use at their discretion.
We will continue to monitor the situation and will consider
opening the bar/restaurant and pool area during July, depending on the
evolution of the pandemic and our bookings.
As long as the situation remains stable, we aim to remain
open until 4th October.
