Early June News

A week of June passed already and it has been busy - but not exactly tranquil! The sunny weather we had in May has been followed by warm, but very stormy weather in June.  Not what was on order for our stalwart campers!

The last weekend of May saw our restaurant open with a group combining their visit to the Camera Museum with a meal on the terrace in the sunshine.   The visit even made the local paper.....

We even had a coach load of people visit the museum!  He managed to drive out of our exit without any problems....Derek!

The Whit week holidaymakers made the most of the warm weather and the kids used the pool every day.  Some of the campers starred in the local Tourist Office video about accommodations in the area.  The video will appear on their website in due course.

June 1st started much better than 2 years ago when the site was evacuated!  Many of the evacuees joined us for a Barbecue and Live Music evening with Cleliacoustic.  The weather stayed dry!

Melanie's class visited us for an English cooked breakfast brunch on Saturday morning, teachers past and present (and some parents).  The occasion to mark 'our' final month at Francueil Primary school; an episode that started when Rebecca joined in March 2002.

The help of some of our campers was invaluable

There have been a few testing times as well;

Apparently this tree wasn't big enough to be seen and was hit by a reversing caravan.  The driver sped off without mentioning it!

Note: We have moved one of our music evenings in early July so as not to clash with a World Cup football match - Bruno now appearing on 5 July.
