The second half of July started with our traditional Bastille Day Barbecue and Live Music. This year Georges, Jean and Pascal were our entertainers for the evening along with some willing (and less willing!) actors for our very rough guide to the history of the French Revolution! Which ended with a rendition of the Marseillaise.

Leaflets and maps - no ice-creams! |
Viginie entertained us last week with her special mix of classic hits and modern tunes.
The Vedettes Club de France from St Pierre des Corps came to visit the Camera Museum and had their own mini car show on pitch 2,3 and 4!

"Vedettes" on the campsite |
We are lucky to live in the countryside with open spaces, grass, trees and plants. There are also many, many creatures to watch and admire as you sit on the campsite, overlooking the river. Kingfishers are frequent sights as are cormorants, seagulls, swifts, swallows, swans and otters. There are others that have every right to be here, but are not so attractive to tourists, but they are to be tollerated and admired in the same way; such as moles, ants, mice, wasps, coypu and snakes.
