Happy to Christmas to one and all!
In August, we celebrated Christmas at Le Moulin Fort with a traditional meal and carol singing. So we jokingly suggested to Jen (Sarah’s sister, hosting Christmas for the family this year) that we should have a BBQ at her place instead! And so we did! We turned up in our Moulin Fort t-shirts, shorts and flip flops and despite the rainy weather (well, we are used to rain at our barbecues now), it was a fab idea. No slaving over a hot stove all morning. No washing up (we used paper plates). With plenty of salad and coleslaw with a chocolate fruit fondue to dessert, we all feel quite healthy too and we’ve had a really enjoyable day.
It was lovely to meet up with Tony and Stella in Alvechurch on 23rd and we’re appreciating having the to relax and recuperate after our busy ‘end of term’ and particularly the Christmas Show. It was a great success; Rebecca was very proud of Melanie, and not too embarrassed by her parents … we got lots of compliments but we’re nonetheless quite pleased that it’s all over!!
We’re off to North Wales to visit Granny Pat tomorrow before getting ready to travel to Germany for New Year.
Our best wishes to you in 2016.
