Sorry for the tardiness of this update - we've been a bit busy !
And the spell of fabulous weather continues! And with it, a great atmosphere on site, lots of happy campers and sun-tanned faces! Our evening entertainment is always well-received, particularly the Hidden Talents nights (although in all honesty, not much talent has been revealed lately… So if you have a guitar, ukulele, secret skill for magic tricks, then please bring it with you on holiday and share your talents with a wider and hugely appreciative audience!)
Our team of staff is working well, although it is quite crazy how much of an impact a summer season can have on your stash of tolerance, and a lack of sleep only adds to it. We’re all looking forward to the slower pace of mid-season, fresh mornings, the trees changing colour and signs of autumn arriving … whilst at the same time, clinging on to the summer and not wanting it to whizz by too quickly… We’ll have our annual staff pool party next week, and we start saying goodbye to our students from 22nd August! We gives ourselves a week to adjust from high to mid-season but as ‘la rentrée’ takes place on 1st September this year, it will no doubt come round very quickly.
It looks like being a good harvest in the vines this year .. and we hope to be able to go grape-picking with the local school on 19th September so if you’re thinking of staying with us then, bring some secateurs. It’s an unmissable opportunity to participate in a years-old tradition and share the community spirit.
Sarah continues her weekly walks, and will happily offer a session of life-coaching to any camper who is interested. The introduction to Qi Gong sessions has been very successful and will continue throughout September, and Shiatsu massages are also available on request.
Hope to see you soon – next update: early September
