Only one week left of the school holidays – time seems to be flying by! It has been one of the wettest summers we've ever known (one of the wettest summers since 1959, apparently!) and now, as the August data comes in, it’s officially becoming one of the coldest summers in as many years! And yet, for us, it’s been one of the nicest summers we've had - some lovely ‘soirees’ – and none postponed due to rain .., some really nice people - both our staff and campers … As a number of our seasonal student staff members left this week, I've been asking them what was the best bit of the season and they've all said ‘the team’ ..which is a very satisfying thing to hear!

The weather has been warmer in the
UK and Scandinavia than in parts of Southern Europe this year … One of the best things about
this area though, is that there are plenty of things to do and see,
particularly when it’s not crushingly hot. Even this week, Sarah has
discovered a new feature – le calvaire of Saint Georges. It’s main asset
is its complete randomness.. and so we won’t say anymore, but join Sarah on one
of her weekly walks to find out!!!
